I've just had an epiphany of one of the benefits of my 30 day active challenge. I didn't notice it before, but I've completely stopped drinking more than one coffee a day. I used to be terrible for it, having sometimes two or three coffees from the costa coffee bar downstairs.
For some reason, the exercise or the healthier eating, or the better sleeping (as a result of the 2 previous), has helped with that terrible mid-afternoon tiredness that always spurs me to buy a coffee.
I really hadn't noticed; it's taken me watching a colleage walk right in front of me with said mid-afternoon coffee that made the penny drop. This means I've saved money! I did some sums and it works out as about a £30 saving over the course of a month. Almost as much as the cost of my gym membership. Guess these things pay for themselves! :)
