Active June 30 day Challenge - Day 30

The last day!
  • Exercise: Run around the pond (3 times) - about 2 miles?
  • Drink: Glass wine
  • Food: Egg & bread for brekkie; Chips, egg and salad for lunch; roast veg and feta for dinner
  • Snacks: Dark chocolate, banana & strawberries, nakd bar, bit of choc mousse dessert
It's the last day! Finally weighed myself. I'm now at 62.6 kg; a weight loss of just under 1kg. In one month this isn't tonnes however I expected this number; I've lost weight around my hips and waist, but I've also put muscle on, especially around my thighs and butt.

Today I planned to finish with a Zumba class - unfortunately the gym I go to has had to close temporarily due to an issue with water supply, so I went for a run instead. OH MY GOODNESS... I forgot how hard running is if you aren't used to it. I only ran for just under half an hour but was bright red for hours afterward. I was going pretty fast though once I got going so pretty happy with that.

Looking back on the month gone I can say I most enjoy the classes and the satisfaction, fitness and toning that I am getting as a result, so I'm going to keep them up. I haven't been as good with diet and drinking - I think that's the thing to really nail if I want to push it to the next level and get big results.

I really like the 30-day challenge as a way of setting a target and a goal, and blogging to keep on track. I've picked the next task, and it's a fairly sedate one; to clock in 10,000 steps a day (more to follow). This is more difficult than it sounds - today I kept getting up to get a drink, did a lot of faffing and cooking in the kitchen and also went for a run, and I've still only done 8k steps. Grrr! I'm going to have to start doing some lunch time walks or something to reach my targets I think.
