Active June 30 day Challenge - Recap, results and final thoughts

The finished challenge:

Be Active: To do exercise >30 mins every day - something different each time.
    • Did I manage it? Mostly, yes! I went from doing 1 or 2 yoga classes a week, to 4 or 5 various exercise classes. My fitness improved and I really enjoyed trying some new classes. There were some surprise favourites including Pilates and a totally insane LBT Bootcamp class. I had only 5 days in the month that I did nothing on, just over 1 a week. I also ate well (mostly) and drank much less - the exercise really helped with this because I tend to use wine as a stress relief - I don't need it now because exercise does that for me.
    • Will I keep it up? Yes - although attempting a class every day may be a bit much, and means I don't pull my fair weight with the cooking, I'll definitely try to maintain going to a few classes every week.

Results

According to the scales I haven't lost much weight (bah) but I look and feel amazing!
  • Before: 63.5 kg, size 12
  • After: 62.6 kg, size 10 (only just)
So, in terms of numbers the results are very moderate. I've only lost a little weight, however, with the exercise madness, I think there's been some fat to muscle conversion so the results are definitely more dramatic visually. My other half has been commenting on my tight buns. A big change is in my mood; I feel so more upbeat, happy and healthy.

What next?
I'm sorry - but I'm enjoying all of this experimentation faaar too much. I'm not going to look to do anything too radical. I'm thinking what I have works - I'll just adapt it a little bit. More in my next post (to follow imminently!)
