It's day 10 and tonight I booked onto a pilates class.

I'm going to start this post off with confessing that I am not, or have ever been, the biggest fan of pilates. I tried a class in my early twenties and although I had high expectations, I found pilates the unfortunate child of aerobics and yoga - in that it didn't necessarily inherit the best bits of both. I especially didn't like the way that I had to keep my head held up most of the time; I began experiencing a freaky feeling in the neck and back almost immediately (that said the pic of Pilates inventor, Joseph Pilates, on some kind of torture machine... I mean pilates device, would suggest that this discomfort is perhaps  to be desired - or perhaps I wasn't doing it right!)

All this aside, and in the spirit of experimentation, I decided to attend another class and give it another bash... and it was great! A little bit easy compared to my yoga and other classes, but just what I needed; some slow and steady strength building.

I don't know if its the exercise, or the holiday I'm going on tomorrow, but lately I've felt fantastic! If this is what all this exercise does for you I'm a big fan.
