300k steps in July - Day 29

  • 10,350 steps
  • 330,660 steps total
Only 1 day to go! I've definitely nailed this 10k target - a short walk (20 min) mid morning or mid afternoon, a longer walk at lunch (35 min) and a lap round the pond near home after tea in the evening (30 min). Even if I forget my loop; I do this much and 10k steps are sorted.

I've been off the sauce for a few days now and noticed a few side effects, which surprised me as I don't drink a heck of a lot. However I do drink little and often - it's sad to say but I don't think I've had 4 days without a glass of wine in a long time. My body/liver has obviously decided to punish me for being nice to it with a couple of days of splitting headaches. Ouchy. But that seems to be gone now and I'm feeling AWESOME (cue the lego song). Suddenly being teetotal doesn't seem too bad. I'm not even tempted really (ok ok so I may have had a fleeting desire for a little glass of red wine with my homemade pizza). I went to a pub quiz yesterday with friends and wasn't even envious when my  boyfriend ordered a pint of Peroni (yes, the louse has changed his mind about the no booze thing after imagining a whole sunny August without the odd pint).
